Several security issues were fixed in virglrenderer.<\/p>\n
Software Description:
\n– virglrenderer: virtual GPU for KVM virtualization<\/p>\n
Details:<\/p>\n
It was discovered that virglrenderer incorrectly handled memory. An
\nattacker inside a guest could use this issue to cause virglrenderer to
\ncrash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary
\ncode. (CVE-2022-0135)<\/p>\n
It was discovered that virglrenderer incorrectly initialized memory. An
\nattacker inside a guest could possibly use this issue to obtain sensitive
\nhost information. (CVE-2022-0175)<\/p>\n

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
\npackage versions:<\/p>\n
Ubuntu 21.10:
\nlibvirglrenderer1 0.8.2-5ubuntu0.21.10.1<\/p>\n
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS:
\nlibvirglrenderer1 0.8.2-1ubuntu1.1<\/p>\n
After a standard system update you need to restart all virtual machines to
