Summary:<\/p>\n
Applications using Flask-CORS could be made to expose sensitive
\ninformation.<\/p>\n
Software Description:
\n– python-flask-cors: Flask extension for handling Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS)<\/p>\n
Details:<\/p>\n
It was discovered that Flask-CORS did not properly escape paths before
\nevaluating resource rules. An attacker could possibly use this to
\nexpose sensitive information.<\/p>\n
Update instructions:<\/p>\n
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
\npackage versions:<\/p>\n
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS:
\npython3-flask-cors 3.0.8-2ubuntu0.1<\/p>\n
After a standard system update you need to restart application using
\nFlask-CORS to make all the necessary changes.<\/p>\n
